The Kick-Off!!

On Friday, August 28th, Duncan McDougall came to Central School for our "Year of the Book" kick-off!  He shared his love of books with us, including his favorite place to read: UP in a tree!!  Then each student was able to choose two new books to keep! What a day!!

Our Banner is UP!

Our CLiF Year of the Book banner is up!  You can't miss it as you enter the school and head toward the classrooms!!  We are all ready for our Kick-Off to be held this Friday, August 28th, with Duncan McDougall, Executive Director of CLiF and storyteller extraordinaire!!

The Year of the Book grant helps us to promote literacy in the community too!  CLiF provided several book bundles which were delivered to community locations where children gather, including Our Place, Parks Place, several doctors' and dentists' offices, and Le Studio!

Summer Readers!

Choosing books!!  It was so fun...and yet so hard!!

Summer Readers!

CLiF brought its Summer Readers program to Bellows Falls on Monday, July 13th with stops at the Rockingham Recreation Center and the Rockingham Free Public Library!  Marv Klassen-Landis entertained and engaged his audiences with fabulous, fun stories!  Then every child got to choose two free books to keep!!  It was a great day!
